Connect-A-Dock is Dock of Choice for Leading Fall 2005 Regattas

As a part of expanding Connect-A-Dock’s support of the rowing community, Connect-A-Dock will be participating in and sponsoring several key Regattas’s this fall.

Connect-A-Dock will be a sponsor at the 13th annual Chattanooga Head Race and the Head of the Hooch, both held at a new rowing venue on banks of the Tennessee River in Chattanooga, Tennessee. This venue has undergone an extensive $120 million renovation and features two new 12 1/2’ x 260’ docks and two new 8’ x 50” gangways, believed to be one of the largest rowing dock installations in the world. The Head of the Hooch is the largest Regatta in the south with 4,000+ participants and 20,000 spectators. The Chattanooga Head Race was held on October 8, 2005 and the Head of the Hooch will be held in November 5 – 6, 2005.

Our new dock made it incredibly easy for athletes to launch and return their shells. The addition of this dock has provided us with a truly world-class rowing venue.”

Connect-A-Dock is providing a dock and is exhibiting at the prestigious Head of the Charles Regatta. This 41-year old event is the world’s largest rowing event attracting 7,000 participants and 300,000 spectators along the banks of the Charles River in Boston, Massachusetts.

Connect-A-Dock is entering its second year of sponsorship of the Head of the Schuylkill, the largest one-day Regatta in the world. Set in Fairmount Park in Philadelphia, this event is in its 36th year and attracts nearly 30,000 spectators.

Ending this year’s rowing season, Connect-A-Dock is also a sponsor of the newly established Head of the St. John’s Regatta held at Lake Monroe in Sanford, Florida. The event enjoys the attraction of a new Connect-A-Dock dock and is expected to attract over 1,000 rowing competitors.
